don't see it, it's time you take notice."
Empower
Me! hosts a series of Career Management Workshop & Networking
Luncheon in various cities throughout the United States. The cost
includes admission, workshop materials, and the network exchange
session. These are not your traditional "How to Find a Job" workshop.
Empower Me! offer the opportunity for African American women to
explore their own career aspirations, meet and mingle with peers
who could be crucial to your career advancement, interact with
professionals in a variety of fields, and get your face out in
front of the world.
There will be a networking session for attendees to get to know
each other, exchange contact info, ideas and leads, a buffet lunch,
tons of valuable resources, mentor matching, tips on networking
success strategies and more. Human Resources professionals from
major companies will be there to give advice on succeeding in
the corporate world.

Women-owned
businesses generate more than $3 trillion in sales annually.
At least 49% of these sales come from businesses owned by African
American women. The primary reason women launch new businesses
is that they are inspired by an idea or through interaction
with other entrepreneurs. The next reason is frustration with
current work conditions. Women are most likely to start a business
because they recognize opportunities to implement ideas, introduce
products and do for themselves what they were doing for employers.
Attending an Empower Me! Series will give you that spark of
confidence needed to follow your dreams, reach out to vendors,
gather crucial information and build an expansive network.
