Empower Me! Magazine is the preeminent publication for today’s fast rising professional. Our target audience is the upwardly mobile professional looking to maximize their resources and grow their career or business. Fulfilling the growing demand for insightful and thought-provoking commentary, this publication inspires and empower its readers to be fearless and take action to get what they want out of their professional lives. We feature well-written and reported commentary on business, careers, technology, and finance. Our readers are natural leaders, mentors and benevolent in all their endeavors. They strive for professional success, seeks balance and ways to continually improve themselves and others around them. Confident and smart, they define themselves and shape the world around them. At the current time, all writer positions for the print magazine pay $25 per accepted article ($50 for featured articles). The currently accepted topics include leadership, diversity, career management, professional development, technology, professional branding, social media branding, networking, business growth strategies, team building, and entrepreneurship.
Please note blogging for the magazine website is not the same as writing for the print publication. There is no pay associated with blogging for us and is strictly voluntary. All submissions (for the website or the print magazine) are not guaranteed to be accepted.
We are also seeking a part-time virtual Copy Editor/Writer to join our rapidly growing team. Our editorial focus is on empowering the upwardly mobile professional woman by providing smart, relevant, and timely articles. We are looking for a deadline-driven, enthusiastic, and savvy individual who will meticulously proofread copy for our publication. The scope of work will vary from copyediting individual articles, working with the editor-in-chief/managing editor in proofing the magazine and web site, and occasionally writing articles. Applicant must have a strong attention to detail. This position is virtual; the applicant should have the ability to join meetings via web conferences (e.g., Skype), teleconferences or by telephone. This position is part-time, requiring 15 to 20 hours a month – multi-tasking is a must. It is unpaid/voluntary with the potential to come aboard in a paid position in the future.
